GREEN JOBS & SKILLS
According to Unioncamere, 3.9 million new green workers will be needed in the next five years, with 65% of the skills required at the intermediate level and 41% at the high level of the entire projected employment requirement.
Compared to other professions, Green jobs are characterised by a higher demand for digital skills, computer and mathematical skills and the ability to apply 4.0 technologies. Finding difficulties are also higher, reaching 52.6% of contracts for Green Jobs, while it stands at 41.1% for other professions.
In the construction sector, there were 459,730 planned entries in 2023, of which 77.8% required specific green experience (energy and environmental sustainability), with a recruitment difficulty rate of 59%.

From these data and the desire to highlight the problem, as well as design a solution, comes the initiative signed by IEG and KEY, Green Jobs & Skills, whose coordinator is Marco Gisotti, journalist and populariser, scientific director of the Green Factor agency.
As part of the broader project dedicated to innovation, which includes the involvement of young companies with Start-Up & Scale-Up and the Lorenzo Cagnoni award, Green Jobs & Skills aims to be a meeting place between demand and supply of skills and work, but also a valuable orientation opportunity.

In cooperation with ART-ER the Green Jobs & Skills Tour will be organised, an initiative that gives exhibiting companies and highly qualified young talents on sustainable development the opportunity to meet through a free visit directly at each company's stand.
