In the renewable energy landscape, innovative financial instruments are playing a crucial role in accelerating the green transition. Among them, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) represent long-term contracts that guarantee a stable revenue stream for renewable energy producers, encouraging private investment. Green bonds, on the other hand, are bonds issued to finance sustainable projects with a focus on clean energy and emissions reduction. Equity crowdfunding offers a unique opportunity to engage citizens and small investors in financing facilities, democratizing access to renewable energy. Finally, Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) represent an innovative model in which citizens, local governments, and businesses work together to produce, share, and consume green energy, generating local economic and environmental benefits. This panel brings together financial experts to analyze these instruments and their transformative potential in the area of sustainability.
