In recent years, Sardinia's energy transition has been the subject of various analyses that have led to the development of different scenarios, the result of processes led by institutions and practitioners. The reason for this increasing attention to Sardinia's energy transition depends both on historical circumstances, such as the absence of methane gas, and on the peculiar island context, which makes Sardinia's evolutionary trajectory paradigmatic (and anticipatory) of the energy transition that is affecting the whole country. The objective of this original study was to bring order to the various scenarios developed to date for the target year 2030, commenting on them qualitatively, and extrapolate desirable trajectories for an effective energy transition in Sardinia, with projections also to 2040 and 2050.
Presentation of the results of the study by the Milan Polytechnic.
Roundtable discussion with trade associations and institutional stakeholders to comment on the possible trajectories identified by the study.
