Stefano Ciafani
Environmental engineer, he is national president of Legambiente, the most widespread environmental italian ngo. He has been scientific director of Legambiente from 2006 to 2011 and managing director from 2015 to 2017.
He is a member of the Scientific Committee of Ecomondo, the Rimini Trade Fair on Material & Energy Recovery and Sustainable Development.
He was adviser to the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry about the illegal cycle of waste in the XIV legislature (2002-2005).
He was a member of the Steering Committee on the management of waste from electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) at the Ministry of the Environment, Land and Sea.
He was member of the Committee of RemTech, the Ferrara Fair Congress on remediation of contaminated sites.
He edited the following books Legambiente:

He is author of numerous publications of Legambiente and articles about integrated waste management, industrial pollution, remediation of contaminated sites, nuclear, energy, water, asbestos and ecomafia.
