Agostino Re Rebaudengo
Mr. Re Rebaudengo has been managing renewable energy assets for over 20 years: his company, Asja Ambiente Italia, which he set up in 1995, is leader in its field in the Italian market and operates internationally, with offices in China and South America, in the production of renewable energy and reducing greenhouse gas (CO2) emissions, in accordance with the Kyoto Protocol. Asja is also active in the research of new technologies for the environment and since 2008 is present in the Business Research Center of the Politecnico di Torino.
The Group also operates in the field of energy efficiency and microcogeneration with TOTEM Energy. From 2011 to 2017 he has been Chairman of assoRinnovabili, the largest Italian association of renewable energy producers that in April 2017 merged with Assoelettrica to create Elettricità Futura, the main association of the Italian electric world, of which he is Vice President. Since 2012 he is a board member of WindEurope (before called “EWEA - European Wind Energy Association”).
In 2012 he founded Reba Capital, a private equity investment company based in Luxembourg, focusing on sustainable agricultural and clean energy projects.
From 2013 he has been a board member of Confindustria, the main Italian organization that represents almost 150,000 manufacturing and services companies.
Mr. Re Rebaudengo started his career in the management consultancy industry in Milan in 1980 at Andersen Consulting. From 1988 he held CEO positions in the field of real estate, equipment, leasing and financial and management consulting.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Mr. Re Rebaudengo is a long-time supporter of culture. He is the co-founder and Vice President of Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Art Foundation and he is the President of A come Ambiente Association in Turin. For 11 years he was the Chairman of Turin Theatre Foundation, the Vice President of the Italian National Association of Dramatic Art and was a member of Rivoli Contemporary Art Museum. From 2010 to 2013 he has been the Chairman of Fidas ADSP Onlus (Blood Donor Association). Since September 2014 he is President of the Museo A come Ambiente – MacA of Turin.
Since 2014 he is a Founder and Board Member of the Venice Gardens Foundation. Since 2019 he is Founding member of the Associazione di Promozione Sociale Accademia di Educazione Finanziaria.
In 2007 he received the title of honor of Knight Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic and in 2018 the title of Knight Commander of the Order of Merit of the Colombian Republic.
He received his degree in Economics at the University of Turin and completed his education at UCLA and at Harvard Business School.
