Gian Marco Revel

Gian Marco Revel is a professor of Measurement in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Mathematical Sciences at Marche Polytechnic University, where he also serves as the Rector's Delegate for European Design.

For many years he has been involved in research in the field of measurement systems and advanced sensing for applications in home automation, energy, acoustics, smart cities, nondestructive testing and process management of building materials. He has authored more than 100 publications and co-invented international and national patents.

He is also responsible for numerous industrial collaborations and research projects, particularly within European Commission Programs.

Finally, he holds the position of Coordinator of the Materials&Sustainability Committee of the European Construction Technology Platform - ECTP, and was Rapporteur for the European Commission within the SET-Plan (Strategic Energy Technology Plan).
