Floating Marine Wind Energy for a New Economic-Industrial Renaissance - Offshore floating wind farms represent a unique and unrepeatable opportunity not only in view of the country's goal of energy independence and combating climate change, but especially because this technology has all the credentials to promote a real economic-industrial “renaissance,” mainly (but not only) in the South of Italy, and position Italy as a leading country and an exporter of know-how throughout the Mediterranean basin. Floating marine wind is much more than a source of green energy, in addition to the existing ones; rather, it is a great opportunity for reindustrialization and a very important flywheel for the country's economic growth, and whose benefits in terms of investment, development of a national and local supply chain, employment, upgrading of port infrastructure, skilled training, environmental sustainability, etc., are far greater than the incentives provided by the regulatory framework, which hopefully will be such as to reflect the current cost scenario of a complex and innovative technology.
