The MASE's recent call for applications from Port System Authorities intending to build offshore wind infrastructure hubs in Italian ports has seen the participation of a number of entities: Augusta, Taranto and Brindisi, Corigliano, Civitavecchia, and Vasto. The MASE as part of the measures envisaged by the Energy Decree 2024, by identifying at least two suitable ports for the assembly of the floats and innovative wind turbines, will kick-start the important industrial development in the South of Italy to offer in the Mediterranean a logistics platform to serve the growth of renewables from the sea.
