Energy accounting is a key strategic tool for making informed decisions and achieving your organization's sustainability goals. Responding to the growing focus on environmental issues requires a more accurate and transparent assessment of how energy is used. A practical guide to designing and maintaining energy accounting, applicable to systems of any size, will be presented. Based on a model similar to economic budgets-that is, grounded in a comparison of two tables, the source table and the use table-this guide provides all the tools needed to build a rigorous and reliable energy accounting system. Use of the guide enables a common approach, making different systems easier to compare and the results more transparent and verifiable.

Energy accounting provides a representation, at the desired level of detail, of energy flows in a system. A supporting tool for communicating results to stakeholders, assessing and improving performance, designing new, more efficient energy systems, and calculating the environmental impact of energy consumption.

The seminar will explain the methodology for energy accounting with some educational examples.

An appointment designed for energy managers, EGEs, utilities, ESCOs, monitoring platform providers and the other stakeholders involved in energy management and decarbonization.
